Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
These terms explain what we ask of owners before and during a stay at Glen Dene Dog Hotel. Please read them before booking.
1. Vaccinations
All dogs must be fully vaccinated before boarding. Evidence of current vaccination must be supplied before admission.
Kennel Cough vaccination is strongly advised and may be required at the discretion of Glen Dene Dog Hotel.
2. Health and welfare
Dogs must be in good health when arriving for boarding.
Owners must disclose any known medical conditions, illnesses, injuries, allergies, behavioural concerns, dietary requirements or medication before boarding begins.
Glen Dene Dog Hotel reserves the right to refuse admission to any dog deemed unwell or unsuitable for boarding.
3. Parasite control
Dogs must be regularly treated for fleas, ticks and worms using appropriate preventative treatments.
If a dog is found to have fleas, ticks or another parasitic infestation during its stay, treatment may be administered and associated costs charged to the owner.
4. Behaviour
Dogs must be sociable and safe to handle.
Glen Dene Dog Hotel reserves the right to refuse admission or terminate boarding if a dog displays aggressive, dangerous or destructive behaviour that presents a risk to people, other animals or property.
Where boarding is terminated because of behavioural issues, owners may be required to arrange immediate collection of their dog.
5. Veterinary treatment
In the event of illness, injury or emergency, Glen Dene Dog Hotel may seek veterinary advice or treatment considered necessary for the welfare of the dog.
Every effort will be made to contact the owner or emergency contact beforehand, but this may not always be possible in an emergency.
All veterinary fees, treatment costs, medication and associated expenses remain the responsibility of the owner.
6. Personal belongings
Owners are welcome to provide their dog’s own bedding, toys or comfort items.
Whilst every reasonable care will be taken, Glen Dene Dog Hotel cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage or destruction of personal belongings during a dog’s stay.
7. Boarding fees and payment
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total booking value is required at the time of booking to secure dates.
The remaining balance is payable on or before the dog’s arrival date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Dogs not collected on the agreed collection date will incur additional boarding charges at the applicable daily rate.
8. Liability
Whilst every reasonable care and attention will be given to dogs in our care, Glen Dene Dog Hotel shall not be liable for illness, injury, loss or death arising from pre-existing medical conditions, undisclosed behavioural issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing within these terms and conditions limits liability where such limitation would be unlawful.
9. Changes to these terms
Glen Dene Dog Hotel reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The latest version will be available on our website.
